The National Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers named The FTC the "Outstanding Center" for 2005.

The Sacramento Metro Chamber named The FTC the "2002 Small Business Supporter of the Year" for recognition of small business excellence and innovation.

Below are The FTC Procurement Assistance Program Performance Results for the period between October 2000 and September 2007 showing our success working with small businesses:

Increased small business revenues with 8,519 government contract awards reported totaling $632 million
      
Created and/or retained 12,640 jobs in a wide variety of industries and professions. Based on the Defense Logistics Agency's calculation of one job for every $50,000 in contract awards received by The FTC clients.

Assisted over 5,570 clients representing businesses from the 54 counties in our service area

Taught 1,003 classes at our facility and off-site locations

Held 15,044 counseling sessions

Rated an "Outstanding" Procurement Technical Assistance Center Program by the Defense Contract Management Agency

Helped new and established companies enter the profitable government contracting arena

Increased competition in the private sector and identified new sources to satisfy government requirements for products and services

Partnership Agreements
The FTC serves the Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA), a federal applied engineering laboratory in Sacramento, California. As their partnership intermediary, we have assisted in establishing numerous Cooperative Research and Development Agreements including:

• Lockheed Martin Corporation
• Austin Semiconductor
• JMAR Semiconductor
• Martin Testing Laboratories
• UC Davis

Legislative and Media Liaison
The FTC has also been successful serving as a legislative and media liaison for DMEA to facilitate the following:

• Numerous Federal, State and Local VIP visits and on-site events
• Technology marketing - project needs, photographs, press releases, briefings, articles
• Infrastructure and technology investment by the Department of Defense and congress



 

 

 

Why we offer Free services


The government pays us to provide many free services.

Since we are a not-for-profit organization, our success is not based on how much profit we earn. Rather, it is based on how successful we are in facilitating beneficial partnerships between businesses and government organizations
